Ruslana Korshunova was born on July 2, 1987, in Almaty, Kazakh SSR. Her father died when she was only five years old, her mother had to take care of Ruslana and her brother by herself. At a very young age, Korshunova started working as a model. She was only fifteen years old when her pictures were taken by a famous magazine at Almaty’s local German language club, which she was then attending.

She was invited to work with famous brands, and her face was on the front page of fashion prestigious magazine covers like Vogue and Elle. Photographers who worked with the girl claimed that she was flexible and always tried to give her best at everything she did.
